New Start or Old End?

I just submitted my resignation after a service of over 3 years with this company. and to my surprise, ..... nothing.... it was as if we have discussed this subject over and over again and again... and it is not new at all... shocking.. but real...
i suspect that they are cooking something for me... will wait and see...

Abu-Dhabi Delhi

I received a call from my partner, Flat tire!!! rushing out of office to go on 30th street from Khalidiah, what the hell!! All of a sudden the street of Khalidiah became a narrow street in Mumbai or Delhi, crowds and crowds of friendly Indians crossing the streets, not from traffic light, not from zebra crossing, not from the underground tunnels, but jumping over fences to run across the streets, with a big smile on their faces like its so damn funny to cross in front of cars, OH MAN WHAT A RUSH! WOOHAA, THAT'S ANOTHER CAR THERE LETS CROSS IN FRONT OF IT ALL TOGETHER AT ONCE! MAN THAT WAS CLOSE! HA HA HA.
Why? Why are you such a stupid people doing that? I'm in a hurry, but if there is a red traffic i would stop, then you can cross, you don't have to endanger your life and min! Please stop this nonsense!!!

Tickets

I drive at 8:00 AM, heading to office just like usual, listening to George Michale (Sexual Freak), Mr. Police man drives behind me, lights screaming in my mirror, I just wonder... what is going on, I pull on the side of the street, looking in my mirror trying to find out in my mind what did I do .
He approaches me, I pull down the window, he asks for my license, so I just give it to him!
He takes it and goes back to his lovely white and red 4X4 car, write a ticket, and gives it to me, he says while handing it to me: "we'll keep your driving license, you can collect it tomorrow after you pay the penalty!"
I look at this ticket, it says "Disturbing public peace"
EXCUSE ME MR. OFFICER!!
A local guy drives next to us listening to Arabic music, in a nice white Murano car, but Mr. Police man dose nothing!
OK!!!!
Just let me refresh your memory dear readers everywhere,
when UAE won the GCC football matches, what happened?
Everybody was on the streets, traffic was blocked, hooting, horns, making white smoke and jumping on the cars, killing people and endangering other people.
but that was not "Disturbing public peace"
that was celebration!

So... its the fourth anniversary of the American invasion to Iraq, four years, gosh, that's like 1460 days, i did not look it up the net, or searched the statistics, but the amount of dead people there is just ..... not human! and it just surprises me how could someone like this idiot Bush could come to us and just speak about how successful it has been... DO YOU THINK I AM AN IDIOT? well ... its just shame, then you have all these simple Americans who believe that Bush is doing something good! please, have a break, a brain, or even a single brain cell! think man ... think... in such occasions, i would like to tell all people out there, Bush is even more evil than Saddam! thank you.

The watchman of the building next door is an old simple man from Afghanistan, he looks like they just off loaded him from the Taliban bus, and dropped him in my area! few buildings down the block there is an Indian restaurant, the people who run it are Hindu! the silly stupid watchman drops the garbage at their door steps! in return, they dump the used buckets of oil in the suers in front of his building.... a little war is happening in my neighborhood!

MARCH & Birthdays

March is financially exhausting!! so many birthdays, and so many gifts, Mothers day by itself is just a separate budget, my partners birthday is also something, and two of my best friends and two of my partners best friends... and two of my acquaintances, my salary is gone... referring back to the subject of time out in Abu-Dhabi, i don't think its needed anymore, as I'm totally broke, and no need for spending any money outside!!

Why is there two mothers days? one in March the other in May!!! is it similar to having two Christmases? one for Catholics and one for Orthodox? is it similar to Muslims starting Eid on different days?

Car Wash

Roomer has it that Abu-Dhabi is going to heat up in the following days to reach 40 by Friday, with this blessing, we witnessed today the great sandy winds blowing all over the city, and for my great luck, i washed my car yesterday after being in Khalifa City, great news ha?
why are the car washers banned in this city? why are we forced to go to ADNOC to wash our cars? or wash it ourselves? In Dubai you can have your car washed while you are in the mall or in the parking, they even give you a receipt for it, but here they hide from the eyes of the police because probably their visas are not sorted out!
why just don't you regulate the poor people and let them benefit from lads like us, who are too lazy to wash their own cars and too busy to stand in line to get the car washed at the petrol station. its a 10 Dirham thing, let them have it!!

Khalifa City A

So, I drive and drive to reach Khalifa City looking for something special in the property market, and to my good luck, i found some nice things, but also.. I'm terribly sorry but some of the villas there are just crazy, the electric ice-cream lime green color villa just looks like a really poor thing in the middle of the desert, and the fully hand crafted marble exterior three floors high palace with blue tinted glass just makes you wonder, what was he thinking???
i noticed something today, if Abu-Dhabi drivers are rude, Dubai Drivers are just out of their mind, the guy rushes to over take me by flashing, hooting, and sitting on my ass for 2 minutes, while driving in a one way two lanes empty street in Khalifa City.. com on ... even a lovely 4X4 driver in Abu-Dhabi didn't do it...
visiting the Wee Wee center at ADNOC petrol station "the toilets" i came to realise that when i actually lock the door behind me, trying to secure my privacy while attempting to conduct the action, actually the door doesn't lock, i knew that because Mr. Police man wanted to visit the Wee Wee center as well, and forgetting to knock before he opens, he actually sees me standing in front of the white porcelain bus watering it!!!
Please ADNOC petrol station at Khalifa City A, repair your toilet doors!!!

Mussaffah

So my car gets stuck in the middle of Cornish road, blocking road for all the lovely 4X4 drivers who refuse to see my flash light indicator and insists on hooting on me, that is fine!! Trust me, its fine, but to call my car agency, to tell them about my problem, a guy answers the phone, and i had difficulty understanding him, tells me that he will call me back in 10 minuets and never calls that is not fine, to ship my car to Mussafah for 100 Dirhams, that is not fine, to drive into Mussafah cutting road from giant trucks and lovely 4X4 drivers, that is not fine, to get charged at the agency 200 Dirhams for checking my car with "THE COMPUTER" is not fine, what is that computer anyway??? to drive back from Mussafah, and to fight my way back again through the lovely 4X4 drivers is not fine...
Just reached home.. i need a hot long shower... and a sleep... that should make all the above JUST FINE!!!

Going out in Abu-Dhabi

Just came back from a night out with friends, why is it so difficult to go somewhere nice in this city? you will always end up either in Abu-Dhabi Mall, or the Marina Mall, if the weather is god you might go to special cafe, is it really a well formed city if young people like us can not find a good place to spend our time and money in? the demand is there guys, why isn't any supply?
